Updating the software or firmware of your product

Software and firmware updates improve product features and stability. Install any available updates to keep your product working at its best.

To update the S1 Pro speaker:

  1. Charge the speaker so that its battery charge level is 30% or greater. Once above this charge level, the speaker can be updated on battery power or wall power, though updating when connected to wall power is recommended.
  2. On a computer, go to btu.bose.com to open the Bose updater application.
  3. Review the Bose Updater application Terms of Use, then click Accept and Continue to get started.
  4. Click Download to download the updater application.
  5. If prompted, choose Run; otherwise, download the file, open it and install the updater applicaion.
  6. Connect a USB cable from the computer to the SERVICE jack on the speaker.
  7. Click Apply Changes. (Note: If no update is available, the updater application shows the speaker is up to date).
  8. Once updated, disconnect the speaker from the computer.
