Heart rate monitor setup - Apple Health (iOS)

To setup the heart rate sensor in Apple Health on iOS, follow these steps:

Note: The following instructions are for Apple Health on iOS 10.

Make sure the SoundSport Pulse headphones are powered on and connected to your iPhone. To verify, there should be a small vertical battery icon next to the Bluetooth icon in the status bar at the top of the screen

You can also navigate to the Bluetooth page in your phone’s settings menu to confirm that Bose SoundSport Pulse is under MY DEVICES with the word “connected” next to it.

In the "Other Devices" section of your phone's Bluetooth settings menu, you should see that “HR-Bose SoundSport Pulse” appears (it might take a couple seconds to appear). This is the heart rate sensor. Tap “HR-Bose SoundSport Pulse” to initiate the connection to the heart rate sensor

Once you’ve selected “HR-Bose SoundSport Pulse,” it will disappear from the OTHER DEVICES list and reappear in the MY DEVICES list. A loading spinner will appear next to “HR-Bose SoundSport Pulse”. When “HR-Bose SoundSport Pulse” is connected to your phone, the word “connected” will appear next to “HR-Bose SoundSport Pulse” in the MY DEVICES list.

Insert the SoundSport Pulse headphones in your ears. The heart rate sensor is located in the left earbud, so make sure the left earbud is securely in place

Open the Apple Health app. You should start on the Health Data page. Tap “Vitals” in the list of Health Data items. You may have to scroll down to see it

In the Vitals screen, you heart rate should appear after a few seconds
